There's been some refreshed looks on the model, which now has a truck bed made out of aluminum, while still providing you with a high-strength steel cabin that comes in many different configurations as there are 10 available trims on the RAM 1500. These new materials have led to a 225-point weight reduction to give you a lighter, more efficient and responsive ride that doesn't give up any performance.
Drivers will find updates to the available start-stop technology, plus there's a brand new feature called eTorque which on select RAM 1500 vehicles has a hybrid system that powers the wheels to generate torque using an electric motor so you're not sacrificing fuel economy when you're towing or hauling cargo in the truck bed. The RAM 1500 is powered by a standard 3.6-liter V6 that churns out 305 horsepower, while there's also a 240-horsepower EcoDiesel option and 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 available. V6 models can tow up to 7,470 pounds, while V8 options are capable of towing up to 10,000 pounds.
There's a new 8.4-inch touch display standard, while drivers can opt for a bigger 12.3-inch option. Each come with Uconnect® and Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ connectivity, along with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi connection available, too.
